A visit to the Costume Store is so much more than a tedious trek to get stuff for the next show. It's like popping into the local for a gossip, except that the local is a treasure house of flounces and frills, and braces and bowlers, of exotic gowns and gorgeous embroideries, outlandish outfits and flattering numbers in satin and beads. Suzanne and Jenny are so kind, funny and patient - they search out rails of clothing in advance of our visit, and put up with our misplaced belts and odd shoes, and items returned which appear to belong to no-one. I have had the most delightful service from the Costume Store over the years, and dressed many plays handsomely from their stock, and I'm looking forward to the next time.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and The Costume Store for the fantastic service you provided us with.  Hiring the costumes for Bugsy Malone from you really relieved us of a huge amount of work.  There was just so much to do to get this production on stage so having the costumes sorted for us was just fantastic!

Everything was delivered well in advance of the production and, thanks to your advance measuring form, it all fitted beautifully!  The children really were delighted with their costumes and they definitely performed better once they were dressed as their character.

It really couldn’t have been easier and you were very patient with my 1001 questions!  I would highly recommend you to another school and will definitely use the Costume Store again!

An astonishingly extensive range of outfits available here. One off items for a fancy dress party, or entire theatrical shows costumed. If they haven’t got what you ask for they’ll work out a way of getting it, adapting what they have, or pointing you in the right direction. They run an appointment system, so you need to phone and arrange a time. Cheap to hire, and as every item has to be cleaned when returned it is a real bargain.
